Bahá'í activities for adults, youth and children are open to all. Everyone is welcome to join a path of service and collective learning about the process of spiritual community building.
The Wilhelm Bahá'í Properties are one of the oldest and most unique Bahá'í sites in the United States. Built by eminent American Bahá'í Roy Wilhelm, the grounds were blessed by the presence of `Abdu'l-Bahá in 1912. After more than 50 years of imprisonment and exile with his father Baha'u'llah, the Founder of the Bahá'í Faith, `Abdu'l-Bahá journeyed to Europe and America and shared and exemplified the Bahá'í teachings.
For the last 109 years, Bahá'ís and local community members have annually commemorated `Abdu'l-Bahá's visit to the Wilhelm Properties on the last Saturday of June. 2020 marked the 108th anniversary of the Souvenir Picnic and since we could not gather together in person because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we produced a digital program to commemorate this annual event (see below). Baha'is from all over the world contributed to the program; please share widely and help fulfill ʻAbdu'l-Bahá's words from the first picnic. In 1912, he stated, "Hundreds of thousands of meetings shall be held to commemorate this occasion, and the very words I speak to you today shall be repeated in them for ages to come." For this year's 110th Souvenir Picnic, we are excited to welcome you back for this very special annual event on Saturday, June 25th, 2022. Picnicking begins at noon and the program will be at 3pm. Stay tuned for updates if there will be any changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. See you there!
